Description:

Craig Industries, Inc., a growing manufacturer in the building materials industry, is looking to hire a Regional Sales Manager for the Great Lakes Territory, covering the states of Michigan and Ohio for its U.S. Cooler© product family.

Primary responsibility of the Regional Sales Manager will be the expansion of business with new and existing customers in the heavy food equipment and refrigeration industries.

Essential Functions of the Regional Sales Manager:

  • Calling on established dealer network in person and via phone;
  • Establishing new qualified dealers in the territory;
  • Managing territory sales and growth;
  • Developing new business in the assigned territory;
  • Working with our dealer network to provide quotes;
  • Being available for on-site consultations with dealers;
  • Providing first-line customer service for existing orders;
  • Working with inside sales support team to move project through order process, from quoting to production;
  • Attending annual sales meetings at our corporate offices in Illinois;
  • Consistent travel of approximately three (3) nights per week.

Specialized Skills/Qualifications:

  • Must be familiar with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook);
  • Must have basic technological understanding (will use VPN to access the company network, expense account apps and in-house proprietary programs to manage customers, quoting and customer service issues).
  • Must have a valid driver’s license;
  • Must have the ability to travel consistently.

The successful candidate must be self-confident, have great communication skills, be organized, resourceful, motivated and work well under pressure. A proven track record of sales successes (3-5 years recommended), excellent personal and social skills and the ability to work independently are a must. We are looking for someone with an entrepreneurial spirit that will “own” their territory and work hard to improve their business in that territory.

The Regional Sales Manager must work from their home office. Consistent overnight travel is required. Company car, computer, phone and other necessary office equipment provided. No cap on commissions. Competitive compensation package with base, plus commission, health, dental, vision, 401K and more.

Description

The Maintenance/Fabrication Specialist reports to the Plant Engineer/Maintenance Manager. The candidate for this position must perform minor and major repairs, preventive maintenance measures and electrical wiring of buildings and manufacturing equipment. Advanced knowledge of machines and tools, their designs, uses, repair and maintenance. Knowledge of the ways various systems interact and how changes in operations, the environment and other conditions will affect outcomes are also required for this position.  Other duties include welding, fabrication, using cutting torches, using plasma cutters, using lathes, milling machines and grinders. This position is required to follow specified safety procedures as well as attendance policies.

Duties include: 

  • Keeping tools clean and organized;
  • Performing building upkeep and repairs;
  • Conducting routine preventative maintenance on equipment;
  • Troubleshooting mechanical breakdowns including pneumatic and hydraulic equipment;
  • Sourcing replacement parts and submitting quotes;
  • Running conduit and wiring;
  • Working with Engineering to design new machines to improve production;
  • Fabricating new/replacement parts for existing equipment;

 

This position is required to follow specified safety procedures and abide by company attendance policies.

Physical Requirements

The Maintenance/Fabrication Specialist must have the ability to lift 50 lbs., stand for long periods of time, bend, reach, push/pull a wheeled cart up to 250 lbs..  They must also have good fine motor skills and be able to work with heights up to 20 feet.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Strong electrical background (Preferred)
  • Experience with 208 and 480 volt 3 phase (Preferred)
  • PLC background a bonus;
  • Ability to effectively communicate with production workers/supervisors;
  • Basic understanding of how to use a computer/mouse/tablet;
  • The ability to follow directions and work with a team;
  • Use and cutting torch and plasma cutter.

  • Ability to design and understand precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings and models.
  • Knowledge of Auto-Cad (Preferred)

The candidate for this position must perform minor and major repairs, preventive maintenance measures, and electrical wiring of buildings/manufacturing equipment. The primary responsibility is inspecting, repairing and maintaining the machinery, buildings, grounds and equipment within Craig Industries.

Duties include:

  • Keeping tools clean and organized;
  • Performing building upkeep and repairs;
  • Conducting routine preventative maintenance on equipment;
  • Troubleshooting mechanical breakdowns including pneumatic and hydraulic equipment;
  • Sourcing replacement parts and submitting quotes;
  • Running conduit and wiring;
  • Welding
  • Ability to run a manual Mill and or Lathe (Preferred)

This position is required to follow specified safety procedures and abide by company attendance policies.

Description

The Manufacturing Associate reports to their selected department Supervisor. The associate can be placed in a number of departments. These departments include but are not limited to Set-Up, Doors, Finish, Foam, Glue, and Metal. The Plant Supervisor will decide where to place the employee based on skills, qualifications, and experience. A general laborer will help in the assembly and creation of insulated panels for walk-in coolers, freezers, and other structures. This position is required to follow specified safety procedures as well as attendance policies. Each department is responsible for their assigned tasks to be completed accurately and efficiently. In specific departments, you will be required to handle heavy machinery.

Physical Requirements

Ability to lift 50-75 lbs., stand for long periods of time, squat, kneel, grasp, push/pull a wheeled cart up to 250 lbs, bend, twist, reach, and use fine motor skills.

Qualifications and Skills

  • The ability to read a tape measure
  • Basic understanding of how to use a computer/mouse/tablet
  • The ability to follow directions and work with a team
  • Experience reading blueprints is not required but helpful
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Communication
  • Attention to detail
  • Basic tool use such as hex wrenches, circular saws, drills, jigsaws, dremels, staple guns, miter saws, and hot glue guns.
