Description

The Manufacturing Associate reports to their selected department Supervisor. The associate can be placed in a number of departments. These departments include but are not limited to Set-Up, Doors, Finish, Foam, Glue, and Metal. The Plant Supervisor will decide where to place the employee based on skills, qualifications, and experience. A general laborer will help in the assembly and creation of insulated panels for walk-in coolers, freezers, and other structures. This position is required to follow specified safety procedures as well as attendance policies. Each department is responsible for their assigned tasks to be completed accurately and efficiently. In specific departments, you will be required to handle heavy machinery.

Physical Requirements

Ability to lift 50-75 lbs., stand for long periods of time, squat, kneel, grasp, push/pull a wheeled cart up to 250 lbs, bend, twist, reach, and use fine motor skills.

Qualifications and Skills

  • The ability to read a tape measure
  • Basic understanding of how to use a computer/mouse/tablet
  • The ability to follow directions and work with a team
  • Experience reading blueprints is not required but helpful
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Communication
  • Attention to detail
  • Basic tool use such as hex wrenches, circular saws, drills, jigsaws, dremels, staple guns, miter saws, and hot glue guns.

Position: Electrical Maintenance Technician

Company: Craig Industries, Inc.

Classification: Full Time/40 hours per week

Shift: First/8 hours/Monday-Friday

Description

The Electrical Maintenance Technician reports to the Maintenance Manager/Plant Engineer. The candidate for this position must perform minor and major repairs, preventive maintenance measures, and electrical wiring of buildings/manufacturing equipment. The primary responsibility is inspecting, repairing and maintaining the machinery, buildings, grounds and equipment within Craig Industries. For this position, we are looking for someone with a strong electrical background.

Duties

  • Keeping tools clean and organized;
  • Performing building upkeep and repairs;
  • Conducting routine preventative maintenance on equipment;
  • Troubleshooting mechanical breakdowns including pneumatic and hydraulic equipment;
  • Sourcing replacement parts and submitting quotes;
  • Running conduit and wiring is a MUST;
  • Welding;
  • Ability to run a manual Mill and or Lathe (Preferred).

This position is required to follow specified safety procedures and abide by company attendance policies.

Physical Requirements

The Electrical Maintenance Technician must have the ability to lift 50 lbs., stand for long periods of time, bend, reach, push/pull a wheeled cart up to 250 lbs.. They must also have good fine motor skills and be able to work with heights up to 20 feet.

Experience

  • Electrical: 3 years (Required)

Qualifications and Skills

  • Strong electrical background required;
  • Experience with 208 and 480 volt 3 phase is a MUST ;
  • Understanding of Electrical motor controls is a MUST ;
  • PLC background a bonus;
  • Ability to effectively communicate with production workers/supervisors;
  • Basic understanding of how to use a computer/mouse/tablet;
  • The ability to follow directions and work with a team;
  • Cutting torch and plasma cutter.
